Mudd Peel-off Mask Review

Mudd's masks are available in 1,5 or 10 application packs, costing 99p/£1, £3.05 and £4.99 respectively. I was sent a selection to trial and I tried this particular one first as it said "gentle-cleansing" on the packaging.

This mask has extracts of ginseng, natural lemon peel, grapefruit and cucumber AHAs all which help to cleanse and exfoliate. Skin should feel softer and smoother as dead layer of skin is peeled away. It does contain parabens. I was sent a 1 application of this particular one so I have only trialed it once, therefore my opinion may not be adequate...

Application was ok, it was difficult to open the package so that more than just a tiny opening could be used to get to the mask, so I used the trusty old scissors to do that. Initially it felt quite sticky on the skin and didn't glide on as well, but once some was on it was much easier.

After the recommended 10-15 minutes there were still wet patches on my cheeks so I didn't peel it off as it would come off in parts. After about 20 minutes I peeled it off even though there were tiny wet parts. It took a while to peel off and I rinsed my face with water as some bits would just not come off!

My skin looked cleaner and felt cleaner, not really softer or smoother. It didn't have much of an effect apart from cleansing I think.

I would not repurchase this mask, as I feel there are others out there which do make my skin feel softer and smoother, generally evening out my skintone a little too.
